Description
Taken at Dunmore Head, the westernmost point of Ireland, which rises from the Atlantic like a piece left behind, this image was taken at the end of a long day on the road, when fatigue and weather had settled in. I walked through dense mist and across jagged rock as wind and water pressed in from every direction, briefly disappearing from sight while working my way down toward the cliffs. The stone was sharp, the sea restless, the air thick with fog, and even the birds above seemed to struggle against it. The islands rise dark and textured from the Atlantic, unwelcoming and unmoved, but eroded. For me, this photo captures the exhaustion and unease of that moment, and the pride of having stayed with it, standing at a place that felt monumental and indifferent at once.
All photographs are printed on Photographique Matte Paper – 180g, a high-quality professional photo paper with a smooth, non-reflective finish that preserves detail, tonal depth, and color accuracy.
Prints are produced in collaboration with RQR (RQR Taller de Reprografía), a small independent printing studio based in Valencia, Spain.
